The common ones

from Relative keys for vital subjects by LUBACK

about

Some people were born with everything: beauty, intelligence, and a good life in a good place, all the gifts that the rest only can dream with, as they have the means and the strength to do things better and change this crazy cruel world. However, they don't do anything.

Some other people were born surrounded by need and hunger, fighting to survive their whole life through and, in spite of that, they are the ones who make the most to improve our society, our planet and every human being's conditions. They don't look special, but they are the real light for our future. They are the common ones.

lyrics

They were born to save the world,
so strong and so free to love
and do the best with every day,
with all their light.

So here we go with weightless stuff:
that look, those wonderful words
to show a special way of life,
cowardly life, so empty life.

Fighting for the scepter and killing for the crown,
looking through a window of dirty glass.

So here we are, the common ones,
so weak but breaking the chains
to do the best with every day
despite the dark.

So don’t lie no more. We’re good enough
to try to smash this black wheel
and build a new uncertain ship
without your rock, your selfish rock.

Fighting with no anger and dying for some rights.
Not an aim, it’s just a way to peace and smile.

You could drop your scepter, forget about the crown
and raise your eyes to real being
to feel like common ones.

LUBACK Madrid, Spain

After many concerts and their first album (“Inminente”, 2014, written in Spanish), a new language was needed in order to talk about those things that matter most in our lives (“Relative keys for vital subjects”, 2016). Their last record (“The deal”, 2019) shows their growth towards a pure organic bright style. ... more
